‘Tear Things Apart’ EP coming feb. 2020

It’s been a pretty incredible summer, I must say. Moving to Nashville, starting a garden, launching this solo project, teaching at camps, playing gigs, traveling, hiking, swimming, soaking it up… It’s all been incredibly lovely. As exciting a time as it has been, I am extra pumped about what the fall has in store because….. drum rolll…. I am recording a brand new EP this September! It will be 6 songs: some old, most are new, one is borrowed and plenty of them are deliciously blue. It is to be recorded in Nashville at the Cowboy Arms Hotel + Recording Spa with some of my favorite musicians, and will be released in February 2020, with some sneak peaks along the way.

I've got a great line up of musicians working with me on this project. First and foremost is Matt Combs, who will be co-producing with myself. You may know him as the staff fiddler and mandolinist at the Grand Old Opry. He's also Grammy-nominated and has toured with not one but ELEVEN members of the Country Music Hall of Fame (including my hero Reba McEntire). Not bad company, in my opinion.

Also in the lineup is Page Turners regular Max Schwartz, who recently won the highly prestigious Rockygrass Banjo Competition. In addition to being an incredible banjo player, he is one of the best bassists I've ever had the pleasure of working with and will be holding down the low end. Here's us singing my song The Blackbird Said.

Also on the docket is the incredible Nashville-based guitarist Megan McCormick, my dear friend and collaborator Eli Hludzik on drums, and more.

So stay tuned for more exciting updates around this project!
